Cover Reveal! Will The Real Prince Charming Please Stand Up by Ella Martin

So, I originally drafted this post with a lot of oohing and ahhing over the cover, the design and the colors (all for you to see at your leisure, if you scroll down right now and ignore my yammering on here) -

But you know what?

I'd like to devote a few moments to praising the person who celebrated this cover reveal, who has been looking forward to it first and foremost, and who is the force behind the words within the cover.

Let's talk about Ella.

Cover Reveal: SENSHI by Cole Gibsen

You've read Katana.

You've heard about a sequel.

And now you're biting your nails while letting your eyes scroll downward, trying to catch a glimpse of the amazing, stupendous new cover all your friends are going to be talking about.

...How did I know what you were doing? Elementary, dear child. It's magic. All in the wrist. And all that.

Anyway, I was super-duper excited when the lovely Cole Gibsen tweeted out a request for bloggers interested in doing a cover reveal for Katana's sequel, Senshi (Flux; 2013). Triple up the excitement when she e-mailed me and offered me a prize pack for giveaway and the cover itself to show my lovely readers!

Ready?

It really gives off that "bam, pow, pow, you're dead!" old 60's action movie vibe, doesn't it? How exciting is this?! Compared to this, Katana really had a more peaceful vibe going on - back turned, swords crossed, not really up for a fight...

...Or maybe Rileigh just wants us to think that way.

In any case, both are gorgeous covers. Congrats, Cole! And now for you, dear reader, you can join in on the celebration with a giveaway - kindly donated by the author - which is a prize pack of...

An awesome, stupendous Shuriken Hair Clips Prize Pack that includes...

x2 Handmade felt shuriken (throwing stars) hair clips

x1 Silicon SENSHI bracelet

x2 Katana temporary tattoos

x1 Signed bookmark

Cool, right? And it can all be yours (or it could go to some other reader in Anywhere, Ohio...just saying), with just one little fill-out of that Rafflecopter form. Best of luck to you, and be sure to congratulate Cole on the cover!

Cover Reveal: THE ARCHIVED by Victoria Schwab

If you've been keeping up with current (book-related) events recently, you've probably been on pins and needles waiting for The Archived cover to be revealed. I mean, a book centered around a library of the dead? How are the designers going to manage that?

Turns out,. you really shouldn't doubt the designers. Especially at Disney*Hyperion. They are totally made of win.

As seen below:

For some reason, I just love the shades of blue they used here. And the way that the smoke forms her face? Very mysterious. And knowing Victoria, the inside is going to be just as awesome (if not MORE) as the gift wrapping.

For a peek at the (just as gorgeous) back cover and more information, check out the original post on Mundie Moms today! And don't forget to stop by Victoria's blog post today to see ways that you can share the love for The Archived and WIN some fabulous love back from her in return!

Cover Reveal: Alexandra Bracken's The Darkest Minds

When Ruby wakes up on her tenth birthday, something about her has changed. Something alarming enough to make her parents lock her in the garage and call the police. Something that gets her sent to Thurmond, a brutal government “rehabilitation camp.” She might have survived the mysterious disease that’s killed most of America’s children, but she and the others have emerged with something far worse: frightening abilities they cannot control.
Now sixteen, Ruby is one of the dangerous ones.
When the truth comes out, Ruby barely escapes Thurmond with her life. Now she’s on the run, desperate to find the one safe haven left for kids like her—East River. She joins a group of kids who escaped their own camp. Liam, their brave leader, is falling hard for Ruby. But no matter how much she aches for him, Ruby can’t risk getting close. Not after what happened to her parents.
When they arrive at East River, nothing is as it seems, least of all its mysterious leader. But there are other forces at work, people who will stop at nothing to use Ruby in their fight against the government. Ruby will be faced with a terrible choice, one that may mean giving up her only chance at a life worth living.
Sorry, Alex, but I have to agree with your mom. That does look like magma.

Otherwise, though, this is an AWESOME cover and since I didn't even know Alexandra Bracken had another book in the works (really alert book blogger, aren't I?) this is doubly exciting. Mysterious diseases + a rehabilitation camp called Thurmond - really sounds evil, doesn't it? - and being used as a figurehead when you don't want to be are all amazing things to add into a YA novel.

You know, if you really want my opinion on what does and doesn't belong in YA lit.

What are your thoughts on the cover? Worth a read? (And did you see the cover for Alex's previous book, Brightly Woven? What did you think of that one? I thought it very fitting with the storyline.)
